Visiting Religious Tourism Site Of Aer Mata Ebhu In Bangkalan Madura


The Muslim Madurese of Madura Island are known to be relatively religios. Because it is not surprising that in Salt Island a lot of religious tourism and history, including in Bangkalan.
One of the most famous among travelers is pasarean (tomb) Aer Mata Ebu. The location is in Buduran Village District Arpsbaya, Bangkalan District. The existence of the tomb or pasarean has its own meaning for the villagers in particular and the community Bangkalan regency and Madura in general.
Pasarean Aer Mata Ebu is the tomb of Rato Ebu which is considered sacred salt resident. What is meant by Rato Ebu is Syarifah Ambami wife of Raden Praseno with title Cakraningrat I. The complex of this tomb becomes the grave of all descendants of Cakraningrat I to seven derivatives.



The potency which able to be enjoyed by the tourists in Aer Mata grave is the unique of the carved at the wall side in each dome, and grave warangka that so exquisite, and artistic. In 1975 the carve arts in grave complex of Aer Mata get the artistic champion title carved omission of ancient Asian selenium. It give in the artistic of carved Angkor World in Cambodia which known as one of 7 omission miracles (ancient) world.
Besides, another attraction of this site is in this tomb complex there is a spring. It is said that these springs never dry despite the dry season. The legend behind the existence of this fountain is interesting. It is said that in the past Cakraningrat I spent more time in Mataram. This made Syarifah very sad and constantly crying day and night. Because she is sad, Syarifah then do semedi (meditation) on a hill in the village Buduran Arosbaya. In her semedi, Syarifah begged all of his descendants seven derivatives will become ruler of Madura. In this hermitage, he met the Prophet Hidir who gave news if all his requests and prayers will be granted. Knowing that Syarifah Ambami was very happy and returned home. It was told to Cakraningrat I, which turned out to not like it because only seven descendants were asked. Cakraningrat I reaction makes Syarifah sadder. The tears kept flowing day and night so that the source of the springs on the hill.
Like many sources of springs by legend, Aer Mata Ebu also supposedly has the property to cure various types of diseases. No wonder many tourists come here. When visitors have reached Arosbaya, it will easily to find this location. Many people know and easily find it. Besides, the access to the location is also very good for the vehicle. Besides as a religious tourism destination, Pasarean Aer Mata Ebu is worth a visit by the traveler especially the history lovers who are embellished by the stories of legend.
